Antonio Conte opted to start Nemanja Matic ahead of Cesc Fabregas in the finals of the FA Cup. With Chelsea lackluster in the first-half, Conte brought on the Spaniard in place of Matic just after the 60th minute.
Matic didn’t have a good game, and Conte has insisted that he brought on Fabregas at the right time.
The Chelsea boss said: “I put Cesc after 60 minutes because we wanted to try to have more quality in the passes to find the situation with vertical passes.
“For sure Matic played a really good game, if you see our past and sometimes I make this change when we are losing or drawing to have more quality, when the rhythm is lower.”
