Chelsea boss Antonio Conte won the Premier League in his first season in England despite many pundits tipping Pep Guardiola to lead Manchester City to the title.
According to Chelsea legend and pundit Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte adapted to the Premier League quicker than Pep Guardiola did at Manchester City.
“I think Conte has adapted to the Premier League quicker and has gone and changed,” Hasselbaink said on Sky Sports.
“Pep has come and it didn’t help that he won the first 10 games.
“Conte had a very difficult in the first six-eight games and had to change and had to come up with something. As a good manager, he did.
“He went to something that was very familiar to him.
“I don’t think that Pep had really the out and out quality of what he wanted to do.”
