Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been linked with a move to Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian this summer after helping Chelsea secure this league this season.
Rumours linking Costa with a move to the Chinese league have refused to go away since the rumour first surfaced in January.
The owner of Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian, Shu Yuhui, has confirmed a deal in principle has been struck with a world class striker amid continuing reports linking Tianjin Quanjian with Costa.
“Basically a decision on which player we are going to buy in the summer has been made,” Tianjin Quanjian owner Shu Yuhui confirmed as quoted on Metro UK.
“And we have secured a verbal agreement with the player as well as his club.
“We have not signed a formal contract yet and I will not reveal the player’s name during the sensitive period.
“The club have once got the short end of the stick after our transfer target was exposed ahead of time. So we won’t say his name.”
Is the world class striker Shu Yuhui talked about Diego Costa or another striker in Europe? Chelsea need Costa in the squad next season and we hope he remains at Chelsea.
