Tottenham defeated Arsenal 2-0 on Sunday and the win over Arsenal keeps Tottenham four points off leaders Chelsea with four games left to play.

Following the win over Arsenal, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed beating Chelsea to the title was more important than winning Arsenal.

“It was a fantastic afternoon. I’m very happy for the players and the fans,” he said.

“To win against Arsenal in the last derby at White Hart Lane, it was emotional for everyone.

“We tried to pay the supporters back for the energy they gave us.

“But the most important thing was to keep the gap with Chelsea.

“We have to keep focussing on our game and now we can say that we are more mature than last season. Today was another chance to see the team learning and improving.”
