Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has urged Roman Abramovich to make a record move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku his priority this summer according to a report by Daily Mail.
Chelsea sold 23-year-old Lukaku for £28million in 2014 and might have to pay double that amount to bring Lukaku back to Chelsea this summer.
Daily Mail claim Conte wants his No.9 position to be sorted out early and has urged Abramovich to make a move for Lukaku even if Costa ignores a move to China and stays at Chelsea next season.
Daily Mail also claim that Conte will hold an end-of-season meeting with technical director Michael Emenalo. During the meeting, Conte will lay out exactly what transfers are required for Chelsea to maintain our Premier League strength and to challenge in the Champions League next season.
Lukaku is currently the Premier League’s leading scorer and has also been linked with Manchester United as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
