Totteneham are now four points behind Chelsea and the Blues still have a game in hand against relegation-threatened Middlesbrough on Monday.

Pundits Niall Quinn and Chris Coleman have admitted that the fight for the Premier League title this season is over.

“They’ve made a real fight of it,” Quinn said on Sky Sports.

“I think it was just one game too many.

“You have to give West Ham credit because they did a Tottenham on Tottenham, they really closed them down. They really worked them and it was real tough night for Spurs.

“I don’t think you should put it down to bottle, not at all. A combination of things have gathered up as the whole heat came on. It certainly wasn’t bottle that let Tottenham down.

“Is it over? Probably.

“Are they a much better team than last year? I think so, they’ve kicked on.”
