There were rumours of a rift between Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and youngster Charly Musonda, which resulted in his absence from the Chelsea team while other youngsters like Kenedy and Ola Aina were given game time after Chelsea were confirmed league champions.
Musonda Sr has told Belgian publication NAME that his son has received assurances from the Blues that he will be given more game time.
“Chelsea have told us that Charly isn’t allowed to leave at the moment,” he revealed.
“He should get a chance in pre-season.”
The 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him, and the youngster has been tipped for greatness.
He is currently recovering from a knee ligament injury, and is one of a number of young Chelsea players hoping to get more action next season. So, we’d most likely see more of Musonda in pre-season.
