Eden Hazard was on the scoresheet for Chelsea as the Blues scored five past Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, to beat the Black Cats 5-1.
The goal was Hazard’s 16th league goal of the campaign, after a very remarkable season, but Gary Neville criticised the Belgian in an interview after the game.
“16 goals – is that as good as it gets, or do you think you can do a lot better? I always want more for you,” the Red Devils icon told Hazard on Sky Sports after the match.
Hazard then replied that he could do better and he always tries to do better.
“I think I can do better but I need to go step by step, you know,” said the 26-year-old.
“If I score too much this season maybe next season will be too much, you know!
“No, I just try to give everything on the pitch, to score, to create something, then we see. This season was good, we won, so everyone is happy.”
Hazard has had a wonderful season for Chelsea, and it is his best season in a Chelsea jersey thus far. Surely, this isn’t the kind of question to be asking him just after winning the league, in which he was one of the best players of the campaign.
