Chelsea captain John Terry is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the month when his Chelsea contract runs out.
Terry is one of the leaders in the Chelsea squad and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reportedly wants to replace Terry with another leader.
According to The Sun, Conte still fancies his chances of signing £48 million Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.
Conte sees Bonucci as a perfect replacement for John Terry and Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer the 30-year-old a four-year deal with wages of £115,000 per week.
Bonucci might not be in a hurry to leave Italy due to his young family but there remain hints he could be still be tempted to swap Serie A for the Premier League after admitting in April that he was s fan of the Premier League.
“It fascinates me,” Bonucci said about the Premier League.
When I can, I watch English games, and not only for the quality of the players on display.
“I’m hot-headed, and I love the passion that exudes from their packed stands.
“It’s for that kind of thing that I’m the first on the training pitch and the last to return to the changing room.”
