Chelsea magician Eden Hazard could miss the start of next season after he twisted his ankle during training while on international duty with Belgium.
Hazard has been away with his national team as they prepare for games against the Czech Republic and Estonia but he is now set to miss those games.
Hazard picked up the injury during a training session with Belgium on Sunday at the National Football Centre in Tubize.
Hazard is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Belgium official Twitter account revealed the news on Sunday night: “Medical imaging showed that Eden Hazard has a fracture in his right ankle.”
Hazard will miss preseason preparations and is also a doubt for Chelsea’s 2017/18 season opener against Arsenal in the Community Shield on August 6.
Get well soon, Eden.
