Nathaniel Chalobah is part of the U21 English squad in the ongoing European U21 Championship and the Chelsea youngster can only hope Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is watching him perform with the Three Lions.

He said: “Hopefully the gaffer will be watching but regardless I have to try and do my best, I can’t do much more. If he’s watching that’s great.

“It’s my last time involved with the U21s, as it is for a few of the lads, and we just want to give everything. We’ve been to a few tournaments and they’ve not gone too well but we’re here now and we’re in a better position so we want to kick on from here.”

The 22-year-old was part of Chelsea’s team last season and he gave a good account of himself in the few games he played.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
