Young Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has been a key part of England’s U21 success in the ongoing European Championship, but he has now suffered an injury as he featured in England’s 3-0 win against host Poland.

Chalobah started in midfield for England and almost got on the scoresheet with a close-range header which was well saved by Poland goalkeeper Jakub Wrabel.

After controlling the game well in midfield for England, Chalobah was then forced out of the action with an injury six minutes before half-time, with the Chelsea midfielder being replaced by Will Hughes.

Speaking after the game, England U21 boss Aidy Boothroyd said Chalobah was withdrawn as he had a groin problem and will be assessed tomorrow.
