Chelsea’s interest in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is well-known but reports claim the Blues could be in the market for two Everton players this summer, with the Birmingham Mail suggesting the Blues will move for midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye.
Chelsea are favourites to sign Lukaku in the summer and reports now claim that Gueye is on Chelsea’s shortlist as well.
Nemanja Matic could be set to be on his way out of Chelsea this summer, and the Blues have previously been linked Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayako and Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso as potential replacements. Gueye is now being rumoured to be on Conte’s shortlist as well.
Gueye, who joined Everton from Aston Villa last summer was highly impressive for Everton with a number of standout performances as Ronald Koeman’s team finished seventh.
However, Everton do not want to sell their star midfielder and are keen to offer the 27-year-old an improved contract after a stunning first season at Goodison Park.
