Chelsea magician Eden Hazard is among the investors in a new football team in the United States which would be based in San Diego and start to play next year.
Hazard will invest in the club along with Yohan Cabaye of Crystal Palace, former Senegal international strikers Demba Ba and Moussa Sow and other local business executives.
The team will play in the NASL (North American Soccer League) the second tier of football in the United States.
“San Diego is a beautiful place and the love and passion the people have for soccer made this an easy choice for us,” Hazard said.
“My friends and I are honoured to turn this dream into a reality and we can’t wait to get started and win some games.”
