Chelsea youngster Lewis Baker had an explosive season with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem during the just concluded season, and the 22-year-old is already attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
However, England Under-21s boss Aidy Boothroyd has banned any transfer talks before their Euros tournament, as he doesn’t want any form of distraction during the tournament.
He wants his Young Lions focused on glory in Poland — and is blocking agents from visiting the camp in Kielce.
Ahead of their Euros opener against Sweden on Friday, he said: “In terms of preparing for matches, there’s a curfew in place.
“I want them to focus on the game. Speculation is rife at this time of year.
“But the players all realise they are here to play for England.
“Things will happen and I’m sure there will be a couple of requests.
“But we don’t allow any agents or families to stay in the hotel.”
Baker’s future at Chelsea is yet to be decided, and Swansea, Bournemouth and Newcastle are among the clubs interested in the Chelsea youngster.
