After Spain’s 2-2 friendly draw against Colombia, Chelsea striker Diego Costa shocked the media when he admitted that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told him to leave the club via a text message.
Former Chelsea defender Franck Leboeuf has admitted that Costa is a great striker to have in the team, but his problems are making it difficult for Conte and it’ll be better for Chelsea to ax him and have players who are all on the same page.
“I love Diego Costa,” he said on ESPN FC.
“You love Diego Costa if he plays for your club or you play with him and you hate him if you play against him.
“I don’t know if it’s a mistake (to let him go), I’m not in the dressing room.
“We heard some noises, sounds, saying Antonio Conte and Costa had a fight in the dressing room when Costa wanted to leave Chelsea for China.
“I don’t know what’s going on and if it’s for the best of the club I think it’s better to get rid of him and make sure the dressing room is okay and everybody works the same way for the same goal.”
