With Chelsea almost certain to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly set to hold talks with another striker.
According to a report on Metro UK, Antonio Conte is set to hold talks with Kylian Mbappe as Chelsea prepare to submit an offer to Monaco.
The report claims Chelsea have already made contact with the 18-year-old and Conte will speak with the Monaco forward after France’s friendly against England on June 13.
Monaco are reportedly interested in Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and Chelsea are reportedly ready to capitalise on Monaco’s interest in Michy Batshuayi.
When asked about the France international’s talent in an interview with SFR Sport in May, Conte said: “I don’t like to speak about players from other teams but in this case I think it’s normal to tell that he’s a really good prospect.
“He’s a prospect who’s very important for football.
“For sure, he’s very young and he’s [got] a lot of room to improve.
“He has great characteristics to become a top [player].”
Signing Mbappe would definitely be huge but this is one deal that looks really unlikely at the moment.
