Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero would become a free agent when his Manchester City contract expires at the end of this month.
The 35-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea and reports claim that Chelsea have reached an agreement with the Manchester City goalkeeper.
Chelsea need a backup goalkeeper to Thibaut Courtois, as Asmir Begovic has left the club for Bournemouth.
However Willy Caballero agent Adrian Faija claims Newcastle want to gatecrash Chelsea’s plans for Caballero.
“We have some offers from England, he wants to stay in England,” Faija said.
“Newcastle is cold but pretty and the beaches in Brighton are beautiful as well and easily accessible from London.”
The Chelsea’s deal with Caballero was rumoured to be announced on July 1st.
