After Spain’s 2-2 draw with Colombia on Wednesday, Chelsea striker Diego Costa revealed Antonio Conte had sent him a text message that he wasn’t in his plans for next season.
Conte’s message is set to cost Chelsea millions as it opens the way for Costa’s representatives to demand a hefty loyalty payment with proof Chelsea instigated his exit according to Daily Mail.
Would-be buyers of Costa now know Chelsea are desperate to sell and according to Daily Mail, Chelsea board believe they will now have to accept a lower fee for Costa.
With Everton also knowing Chelsea are desperate to get a replacement for Costa, who is now set to leave Chelsea, the Merseyside club are less likely than ever to reduce their £100million valuation of Romelu Lukaku.
