News emanating from the Belgium training camp reports that Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard might be a doubt for the start of next season after he fractured his right ankle.
The playmaker sustained the injury in training on Sunday. Reports by Belgium team doctor reveals Hazard might be out till mid-September, and he has since been ruled out for Belgium’s International games against the Czech Republic on Monday and a World Cup qualifying match in Estonia on Friday. This is really sad news for both Belgium and Chelsea as the playmaker just got back to his brilliant best.
For Chelsea it’s a case of finding someone to fill in the void in the eventuality of a long-term injury layoff. Here are 4 players that Chelsea could sign in his place:
Despite being unfavoured at Real Madrid, the Colombian playmaker is a fantastic midfielder with good ball playing skill set and has a killer of a left foot. He can also be deployed in the same position as Hazard and as one of two inverted wingers cum infield midfielders in Conte triumvirate upfront. The Colombian is gifted and might just be the marquee signing Chelsea is looking for.
The Chilean forward is another player with the star quality as Hazard. He can play anywhere across the frontline as his versatility will be very much appreciated. His power, energy, passion, skill set and scoring touch makes him a key target.
Did I hear someone shout Kylian? Yea! French forward Kylian Mbappe. Surely he’s going to cost a fortune, but the striker has got skill, power, pace and deadly finishing and will surely be a good addition. Expect more from him because at 18, the golden boy of France has the world at his feet.
The current third best player in the world is a fantastic player who can carry a team on his own like Hazard does for Chelsea. His stats for Atletico Madrid and France make him the outstanding player that he is. His signing will be a real statement of intent from Chelsea much to the envy of José Mourinho and Manchester United. But with Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban, the chances of this deal happening are very slim.
Let’s hope for the best for our golden boy, Eden Hazard. You can comment on the player you would want Chelsea to sign in Hazard’s absence. Still a True Blue. Chelsea!
