Various reports claim the transfer of Monaco midfielder Timoue Bakayoko would be Chelsea’s first signing of the season with the midfielder expected to sign this week but it seems another transfer might just be Chelsea’s first.
According to a report on Metro.co.uk, former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero is set to be Chelsea’s first signing of the season after the goalkeeper agreed terms with Chelsea.
Caballero is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and the report claims he is thrilled by the prospect of remaining in England.
Caballero would replace Asmir Begovic, who joined Bournemouth for a fee of around £10 million.
Whether our first signing is Bakayoko or Caballero, Chelsea fans want transfers to be done early.
