The football world has been shocked by the recent turn of events in this summer’s bout of silly season stories, as Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is said to be unhappy with the German champions.
Lewandowski’s agent, Maik Barthel admitted his client is unhappy with life at the Allianz Arena.
“Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach [ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti] gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title,” he said.
“He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before.”
And now, La Liga expert Guillem Balague claims that Lewandowski’s agent has held talks with both United and Chelsea, with the 28-year-old supposedly unhappy at Bayern Munich.
Balague tweeted: “On Lewandowski: Player unhappy with Bayern.
“He feels Carlo/players didn’t support him enough (including race for best goal scorer).
“Lewandowski: Both Chelsea and MUFC have spoken to his agents.
“London preferred choice, but MUFC, very keen and last chat was yesterday.”
Lewandowski was on fire for Bayern Munich last season as he scored 31 league goals and 43 in all competitions for the German champions as he fired them to a fifth consecutive Bundesliga title.
