A very late equaliser from Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich prevented Andreas Christensen’s Denmark from recording a notable friendly victory over the world champions Germany in a friendly international played on Tuesday night.

Denmark took the lead when Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen capitalised on some hesitant German defending to fire in from the edge of the box. However, Kimmich’s overhead kick goal with two minutes remaining ensured the friendly ended 1-1.

Christensen, who has just finished his second season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, completed the opening 45 minutes of the game.
