James Rodriguez is an unhappy player at the Santiago Bernabeu after spending the last two seasons being less involved in the team’s success.
However Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has told clubs that Rodriguez isn’t for sale.
Chelsea have been linked with Rodriguez for yet another transfer window, but Madrid are still keen on making so much for a player who they haven’t really used for two seasons now.
Despite the frustrations of the 25-year-old, Perez told esRadio that he’s going nowhere: “He is one of the best players in the world, he belongs to Madrid and Madrid players do not leave when they want to or their parents want them to.
“We have to match the interests of the players with ours, but mostly those of Madrid.”
