Reports claim Chelsea have made Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk a priority this summer, as the club believes he represents a better value for money than 30-year-old Leonardo Bonucci.
Recent reports now claim that Chelsea face two hurdles in the attempt to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton
According to Yahoo Sport, Southampton could yet complicate the deal as they look set to demand as much as £65million for their star player.
As well as that, Van Dijk himself supposedly remains keen on a move to Liverpool, who are also still in the race for the 25-year-old despite publicly ending their interest in the player recently.
Deals for the likes of Willy Caballero, Tiemoue Bakayako and Alex Sandro seem certain, but that of Van Dijk isn’t too certain at the moment.
