Chelsea have been linked with Bayern Munich targetman Robert Lewandowski since news broke through of his unhappiness with his coach and teammates after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang beat the Poland international to the highest goalscorer award.
Amid reports linking Chelsea and Lewandowski, Bayern Munich have now enquired about the Gabon international, Aubameyang.
Borrusia Dortmund and Bayern Munich might be rivals on the pitch, but they have always sold their quality players to Bayern Munich any time they came calling.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, Bayern have opened talks with BVB for the Gabon international, who can leave for £61.4m, after becoming worried that Lewandowski could leave for Chelsea.
Bayern have threatened Chelsea over coming for their prized striker (who they signed from Dortmund) but have been forced to look for a new striker after Lewandowski fell out with manager Carlo Ancelotti and accused his team-mates of a lack of support in his pursuit of the golden boot.
