Chelsea have been linked with two Bayern Munich stars this summer – Robert Lewandowski and Jerome Boateng. However, the Blues have been warned off Lewandowski by the German champions but not Boateng.

Sky Italy claim Chelsea have approached the Bundesliga giants over the possibility of landing Boateng in the coming months, with Antonio Conte on the hunt for defensive reinforcements.

Chelsea have been linked with Leonardo Bonucci and Virgil van Dijk in the defensive role, but with no breakthrough yet in both deals, Chelsea are ready to scout for other options.

Boateng has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s top defenders since leaving Manchester City for Bayern back in 2011 but the 28-year-old is being linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in the German international and have enquired about his availability.
