Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is close to signing for Chelsea rivals Manchester United and the agent of the 24-year-old has revealed his admiration for Manchester United. But in the football world, it’s not over until it’s over.
United are believed to have already pencilled in a medical for Morata, who have reportedly agreed terms with the forward, but a report by Catalan newspaper Sport newspaper claim that Real Madrid aren’t satisfied with the fee and are delaying the deal until a fee can be negotiated.
The report then claims that this has presented an opportunity for Chelsea, with Conte instructing the club to put together a €75 million package that he is convinced would be accepted immediately.
While the rumour might seem far-fetched, Chelsea have usurped the transfer plans of many clubs in time past. Mikel Obi, Eden Hazard, Willian and Michy Batshuayi are popular signings that Chelsea have hijacked.
