Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is eager to strengthen the squad for next season to ensure Chelsea challenge for the Champions League and Premier League title.

Marcos Alonso had a good first season for Chelsea after his move from Fiorentina last summer but Conte wants to provide competition at the left wing-back position by signing Alex Sandro from Juventus.

Juventus are reportedly reluctant to part company with the 26-year-old and according to Evening Standard, Juventus would only sell if Chelsea submit a bid of £52 million for Sandro.

Chelsea are also reportedly keeping tabs on ex-Chelsea player Ryan Bertrand, who now plays for Southampton and Conte could push for Bertrand if we fail to get Sandro from Juventus.
