There’s an assurance among the Chelsea community that Juventus left-back Alex Sandro would be a Chelsea player next season, as the Blues are keen on signing the 26-year-old Brazilian.
However, rivals Manchester City were thought to be ready to challenge Chelsea in the race to sign the South American wing-back, with Pep Guardiola keen to improve his wing-back options given the departure of Manchester City stalwart Pablo Zabaleta this summer.
Daily Telegraph reporter Law has revealed that Manchester City have pulled out of the race to sign Sandro to leave the path clear for Chelsea to negotiate a deal.
Law posted on his Twitter page: “Everything can change, but, as of now, I’m assured Manchester City are not in the race for Chelsea target Alex Sandro #mcfc #cfc”
