Chelsea striker Diego Costa is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte told him via a text message that he was no longer needed at Chelsea.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, a Sky Sports reporter, Chelsea are willing to accept a fee of just €60million (£52million) which is lower than Chelsea’s initial valuation of the striker which is believed to be around €100million (£88million).

Chelsea reportedly reduced Costa’s valuation after the striker revealed to the press that he is no longer needed at Chelsea.

The report also claimed negotiations between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are ongoing and Costa reportedly wants to move to Atletico Madrid even though it means sitting out the first half of the season due to Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban.
