Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is one of Antonio Conte’s key transfer targets this summer and the Belgian is set to return to Stamford Bridge after leaving three years ago.
According to a report on Daily Express, Lukaku has agreed terms with Chelsea and the 24-year-old striker would reportedly earn around £150,000 a week at Chelsea.
However, negotiations between Chelsea and Everton are ongoing and might drag on for much of the summer, with both teams still a distance apart on agreeing a fee for Lukaku.
Former Chelsea star Joe Cole thinks Lukaku is the perfect replacement for Diego Costa.
“Obviously the Costa thing has come out. Conte has told him that he wants him out so you would be looking at a striker,” Cole said.
“Lukaku, there’s a market for him, and you are competing for players.
“I like Lukaku. I’d take Lukaku, he is like for like with Costa, but they only need one or two players and just keep the continuity going.”
