Chelsea striker Diego Costa has always talked of his desire to return to Atletico Madrid but the transfer ban imposed on Atletico Madrid by FIFA means they can’t register any new players until January 2018.
If Atletico Madrid sign Diego Costa, he won’t be able to play for them until January 2018 and Costa needs regular football through 2017-18 ahead of the World Cup in Russia next summer.
Spanish club Racing Villaverde in the fourth tier of Spanish football have made a cheeky offer via their official Twitter account, to give Costa regular playing time if he signs for Atletico Madrid this summer.
It reads: “Hola @Atleti and @diegocosta. We offer ourselves as a ‘bridging club’ until January. In theory you would be a starter here, although it’s not for sure. If you are interested DM.”
