Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who picked up the Premier League Golden Glove last season after 16 clean sheets, has signalled his desire to prolong his career at Stamford Bridge by stating he is open to signing a new deal.
Courtois has been linked with a move to Real Madrid after a fine season for Chelsea but the Belgian shot stopper has revealed he is waiting to sign a new Chelsea deal.
“I am very happy and there is no doubt I will stay,” Courtois said.
“My contract runs out in two years so obviously I need a new deal. It’s important I finish the season well with the national team and then maybe Chelsea will speak with my agent.
“If it’s a good deal I will be very happy to sign.”
