Chelsea have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski after the striker’s recent claims that his teammates at Bayern Munich didn’t do enough to support him as he chased the Bundesliga top scorer award.
Lewandowski is a world-class striker any team would love to have but the criticism of his teammates doesn’t really hold.
A stat by whoscored.com revealed Lewandowski missed more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities (27) than any other player in the Bundesliga last season.

This is alarming for a player considered to be a world-class striker and this also puts to bed any idea that his teammates at Bayern Munich weren’t creating enough chances for him.
Before Chelsea spend millions on Lewandowski, we need to ask ourselves as a club if we really want a player who criticises his teammates publicly even when he has himself to blame.
Chelsea are a club with many egos in the dressing room and having a player who criticises his teammates publicly might destroy the harmony in the dressing room.
Lewandowski’s criticism of his teammates shows he thinks only of himself and doesn’t care about the team and having such a player in Chelsea might do more harm than good.
Lewandowski is a world-class striker and no one can really doubt his abilities but I have a problem with his mentality.
