Chelsea were supposedly on the verge of signing Monaco midfielder Timoue Bakayoko but a report by French media outlet L’Equipe claims Chelsea are getting frustrated with negotiations for the midfielder because of the number of intermediaries in the deal.
Chelsea have reportedly been in talks with the Frenchman for months now but intermediaries connected to Bakayoko are prolonging negotiations.
L’Equipe claim Chelsea are ready to abandon the deal for Bakayoko and instead go for Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
Chelsea held talks with Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas last week in London and reportedly discussed the possibility of signing the midfielder.
Tolisso is valued at roughly half of the £42 million that Monaco are demanding for Bakayoko.
