Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk is expected to leave Southampton this summer with various Premier League clubs including Chelsea interested in the 25-year-old defender.
Van Dijk is reportedly a key target for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte but Conte might lose the Holland international to Premier League rivals Manchester City.
According to Daily Mirror, Van Dijk has turned down the chance to join Chelsea because he believes he would have a better chance of securing first-team football elsewhere with Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta in the team.
Manchester City are reportedly willing to offer Van Dijk about £200,000-a-week, an offer which has also persuaded Van Dijk to reject Chelsea for Manchester City.
Should Chelsea match the wages being offered by Manchester City?
