The Tiemoue Bakayako move to Chelsea is one that has dragged on, as the 22-year-old midfielder’s deal has since been expected to be sanctioned.
With reports in France reporting that a fee of £35m has already been agreed between Monaco and Chelsea for Bakayako and RMC Sport claim that the France international will commit to a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.
According to reports, the 22-year-old will travel to London early next week to complete his medical and finalise his transfer to Antonio Conte’s side, so that the deal could be announced early next month under new jersey sponsors, Nike.
Alex Sandro’s deal is expected to be wrapped up soon and reports claim Chelsea have gone far in a bid to bring Virgil van Dijk to Stamford Bridge from Southampton.
