Chelsea star Willian believes he must now prove himself at international level with Brazil following his successful Premier League campaign in order to become a regular again in the Brazilian national team.

“Every time I join the Selecao I try to maintain my good form and prove why I was called up,” he said.

“This time it’s no different, whether I am starting or not. The group is really strong, there are so many players qualified to start for Brazil and the competition for places is really healthy.”

Willian endured a difficult campaign in which he lost his mother at the beginning of the season and had to fight for a place in the team on his return, with Pedro already in hot form in the Brazilian’s absence.

He was still a huge part of the team as Chelsea went on to win the Premier League.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
