Chelsea have officially confirmed the signing of Willy Caballero, the former Manchester City goalkeeper.
Goalkeeper Willy Caballero today joins Chelsea Football Club, the official Chelsea website today confirms.
Caballero has since completed the move to join Chelsea after his contract with Manchester City expired, but the Blues weren’t keen on unveiling the 35-year-old until the Nike deal began.
Chelsea have also officially unveiled the new Nike jersey, as the former deal with Adidas has come to an end.
Caballero joins Chelsea to replace former second choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and he comes with a wealth of experience at the highest level. He spent the past three seasons at City, having started his career at Boca Juniors in his native Argentina before playing for Spanish clubs Elche and Malaga.
Caballero is the first of many deals to come.
