Tiemoue Bakayako didn’t take part in Chelsea’s pre-season tour due to a knee injury he suffered since last season, and it’s feared that he will miss the start of the season due to the injury.

The new Chelsea signing is eager to hit the ground running under Conte at Chelsea and has shared a video of himself working his knee out on his instagram story.

He shared a video of himself on the bike in the club gym at the training ground as he continues to put the hard yards in to accelerate his recovery.

The 22-year-old underwent keyhole surgery on the injury at the end of Monaco’s Ligue 1-winning campaign.

According to reports, he arrived at Cobham for a medical some three weeks prior to finally completing his tests ahead of a transfer from Monaco but his ongoing knee complaint complicated the procedure.

Chelsea still signed the powerful French midfielder after he passed his medical, but he is currently in a race against time to come back from injury and get match fitness ahead of the new season.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
