Chelsea legend Michael Ballack believes Chelsea have high targets for next season and Antonio Conte is trying to build a competitive team for the Premier League and Champions League.
Chelsea have signed just Willy Caballero on a free transfer and Antonio Rudiger from Roma with John Terry, Asmir Begovic, Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathan Ake leaving Chelsea this summer but Ballack insists he isn’t worried.
“I am not worried,” Ballack told talkSPORT when asked about Chelsea’s preparations for next season.
“[They are] preparing for next year and, of course, the coach wants to have his players, but I think Chelsea will make sure they have a competitive team next season, not just for the league but the Champions League of course because their targets are high.
“How the team finally looks, [they have] time as well. Of course, the coach [has to] fight for the best team possible.”
