Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte enquired about the availability of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches after Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Sanches, who was voted best young player at Euro 2016 and also won the 2016 Golden Boy award, has struggled to establish himself in the Bayern team since his move from Benfica last summer.
The 19-year-old wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer in search of first team football.
“There are at least 10 teams after Sanches,” Rummenigge told Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport via Sky Sports.
“Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday’s match because he knows he can make the difference on the pitch.
“[Carlo] Ancelotti was pleased with his performance against Chelsea so we can make some decisions on him later.”
He added: “Almost certainly we’ll let him leave just on loan, we still count on him.”
