Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a £5m move for Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda.
Belgium international Dedryck Boyata is thrilled Brendan Rodgers is on the trail of his fellow countryman and has labelled him as a future superstar.
Boyata hopes Celtic can clinch the signing of the 20-year-old.
He said: “The hype around him has been confirmed by the fact he is playing for Chelsea.
“I have seen him play so many times and I can honestly tell he is a very, very good player.
“I think he needs some time to play first-team football and show what he can do. He is a player who can confirm all the hype around him when he gets his chance.
“When we talk about the future of Belgian football his name is always there.
“That tells you all you need to know about his potential.”
Ever since he thrilled spectators as a 12-year old at a training camp in their native city of Brussels, Musonda has been earmarked to join Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke as part of Belgium’s golden generation.
He’s now yearning for first-team football and unfortunately he wouldn’t be given the chance in Chelsea at the moment. In case of a sale, the best thing Chelsea can do is to put a buyback in his clause because the kid has got it.
