Pedro’s withdrawal in the first-half against Arsenal due to concussion and facial injury after a collision with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina led to the introduction of Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga.
The 20-year-old winger impressed and was a constant threat to the Arsenal defence.
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has hailed the amazing qualities of the youngster.
“Some of the young lads have been training with us for a while now, they’re all great characters, I thought Jeremie did tremendously well,” Cahill told Chelsea’s official website.
“He’s a tough guy to defend against, he’s very skilful with quick feet and he fits the mould of the likes of Eden, Willian and Pedro. He proved difficult for Arsenal to deal with.
“There is plenty more work for us to do and the Bayern Munich game on Tuesday is going to come around very quickly now. Then we have a full three days training before the Inter match. The key is getting fit but to put in a performance like we did against Arsenal was great.”
