Chelsea youngsters Bertrand Traore and Nathan Ake have already left the club this summer and Nathaniel Chalobah’s future at Stamford Bridge seems uncertain as well.
Reports claim Chalobah could leave Chelsea this summer, with contract talks continuing to drag on.
Chalobah has one year left on his contract, and with Tiemoue Bakayako likely to join Chelsea soon, Chalobah wants more assurance from Antonio Conte.
Chelsea hope to renew Chalobah’s contract but they may be unable to meet the England Under-21 international’s demands. Chalobah and Bakayako are both 22, and the Chelsea academy product isn’t ready for yet another season on the bench.
According to reports, Chalobah want a salary of £60,000-a-week as well as more game time, which would put him on the same wage as Ruben Loftus-Cheek – a huge increase on his current youth contract worth £5,000-a-week.
With close friend Nathan Ake leaving for Bournemouth in search of regular football, Chalobah might just want to do same.
