Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has stepped up his return from injury as he was put through his paces during Chelsea’s training session in Singapore.
The 20-year-old Belgian injured his groin just before the Blues flew out on their pre-season tour of China and Singapore. But his injury wasn’t deemed serious enough for him to miss joining the team on pre-season tour.
He did not take part in the 3-0 win over Arsenal in Beijing on Saturday and will also miss today’s game against Bayern Munich.
He trained very well in the Singapore National Stadium, and was seen running freely as he looked to get back to top fitness.
However, he didn’t train with the rest of the squad and the fears about a long-term injury have been allayed.
Musonda will be part of the team for next season and has been given the number 17 shirt formerly worn by Eden Hazard.
