Chelsea have returned to the race to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku after the Blues agreed to match Manchester United’s offer for Lukaku according to a report on Daily Mail.
Everton accepted Manchester United’s £75million offer for Lukaku early this week and Chelsea have now agreed to offer £75million for Lukaku.
The Blues are refusing to give up on Lukaku and have also agreed to match the personal terms being offered to the Belgium international by Manchester United.
However, Daily Mail claim Manchester United are ahead of Chelsea in the race for Lukaku due to Chelsea’s reluctance to pay agent Mino Raiola a £12million fee. Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay the outrageous agent fee.
Lukaku will either have to choose between making his dream return to Chelsea at the expense of his agent who will receive a lesser fee or join Manchester United and make a huge profit for his agent.
Lukaku and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba share the same agent, Mino Raiola, and Daily Mail claim Pogba has been trying to convince the striker to join Manchester United. Both players are currently on holiday together in Los Angeles.
