Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas made 37 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season but started just 18 games.
Despite Chelsea signing Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has promised Fabregas that he would play more regularly next season according to a report on Evening Standard.
According to the report, Conte held a meeting with the Spain international to reassure him of his role in the side. The report also claims Conte admitted to the 30-year-old that he should have played more during Chelsea’s title winning campaign last term.
Fabregas started Chelsea’s 8-2 preseason victory against Fulham, playing next to N’Golo Kante in central midfield.
