Chelsea defender Gary Cahill was a key player for the Blues as we cruised to the Premier League title last season.
In an interview with Chelsea’s official website, Cahill revealed his best team display, toughest opponent, favourite goal and more.
When asked about his best team display by Chelsea, Cahill said: “Everton away, purely for the importance.”
When asked about his favourite goal, Cahill said: “Probably the one I scored at Stoke. It was a last-minute winner in what had been a very tough game, and we were all delighted to see it go in, you could tell that by our celebrations.”
When asked about his toughest opponent, Cahill said: “Liverpool’s front three – Mane, Sturridge and Coutinho – in the game at Stamford Bridge early in the season were very difficult to play against.”
When asked about his favourite moment, Cahill said: “The celebrations at West Brom after we’d won the league. We’ve worked so hard all season so it was brilliant to finally get the job done and celebrate with the fans.”
When asked about the best atmosphere, Cahill said: “The final game against Sunderland was fantastic because we lifted the trophy and it was JT’s last appearance at Stamford Bridge. The fans were brilliant, they didn’t stop singing throughout and obviously John got an unbelievable reception.”
